Hello dearest DeviantArt friends! I'm sure the ones of you that care already follow me on.. Tumblr and/or Youtube! But I'll catch you up to speed here too.
I've been busy for the past 2ish years working on animation, for my youtube channel, and others like Lore and sometimes Machinima. I've always been against the idea of just doing parodies, but I figured, if I'm going to make animation just to practice and improve it might as well be something that will pull in a lot of views.
I like the relationship I have with the Lore channel, so I'll still be doing those videos, but I'm going to take a break from video gamey animation (unless I have some great inspiration to do a short one), and I hope to get to work on my original stuff again. Whether I post it online or not, I haven't really drawn or created anything for myself for a while, and I really want to be a story teller more than anything. Animation is just one way to do that.
Anyhow, I'm also hoping to return to Side Quests, my pride and joy. Jeff, the co-creator, and I have been reworking the script for the next episode! We both have busy schedules so I can't say when it'll be ready. A few months ago I said the same thing, but the script hit a dead end so we dropped it and started over (This new one is infinitely better). Plus, after finishing my Mario&Luigi animation I've got no other projects I need to focus on, so I can put all of my creative powers towards SQ! (Attack on Pikmin 2 was the next animation I was going to work on, but I really was going to do it since people like it and it was popular, the idea is actually kind of lame I think).
As for animating Side Quests.. That will take a great deal of coordination and effort to pull off the way I want. Right now, I just want to tell their stories, and comics are the next best thing.
